Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Offerings #

Pay As You Go #

For organizations looking for flexibility without the need for long-term commitments, our Pay As You Go plan offers a dynamic usage-based billing option. This model is perfect for groups with variable workloads, short-term projects, or those exploring new cloud solutions without a significant upfront investment. You pay only for the cloud resources you use, calculated at standard rates, which provides the flexibility to scale operations up or down based on real-time business requirements.

Features of Pay As You Go:

  • No upfront commitments; pay only for what you use.
  • Ideal for handling unpredictable or fluctuating workloads.
  • Quick access to new services and regions without contractual constraints.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Offering #

At AppDat, our AWS cloud services are available exclusively through a Pay As You Go model, providing flexible and scalable cloud computing solutions. This model is particularly suitable for dynamic projects and fluctuating workloads, allowing your organization to adapt quickly to changing demands without the constraints of long-term financial commitments.

Features of AWS Pay As You Go:

  • No upfront costs; you only pay for the compute power, storage, and other resources you use.
  • High scalability which allows for adjustments in resources based on immediate needs.
  • Immediate access to the latest AWS innovations and services.

Partnership through MCP #

Our AWS services are delivered through a strategic partnership with the Mission Control Platform (MCP). This collaboration enables AppDat to offer specialized Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) via the AWS platform. It is important to note that within our AWS cloud offerings, AppDat exclusively manages the EKS and containerized infrastructure, while the MCP owns the broader AWS environment.

Customizable Account Options:

AppDat Standard Account: These accounts are tailored specifically for EKS functionality, ideal for groups who require dedicated Kubernetes management without the need for additional AWS services.

Hybrid Accounts: For groups who need to complement their EKS with additional infrastructure, our hybrid accounts provide the flexibility to host and manage diverse workloads around the Kubernetes ecosystem.

Chargeback Model: #

All cloud platform offerings include a 10% chargeback on cloud spend. Our chargeback model is specifically designed to recoup the labor and internal costs associated with maintaining our cloud platforms. This model promotes accountability and enhances visibility into cloud expenditures across the organization. It ensures that each unit pays for their actual usage plus the necessary overhead, creating a culture of cost transparency and financial efficiency.

CCS Billing #

AppDat is part of the MCP under the broader CCS umbrella. CCS requires that each tenant cloud account be funded at least three months in advance. For new accounts, the estimated funding amount should be calculated using the GCP or AWS cost calculators. For existing accounts, funding will be based on a running average of the account’s historical spend.
